"Fado" is declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO

Fado, a typical Portuguese musical genre is officially declared as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. This decision was eagerly awaited by the Portuguese delegation, during the ceremony, which took place in Indonesia. In the end, the voice of Amália Rodrigues, great Portuguese Fado singer, was heard.
