All about the Danube
The history of the International Danube Day began in 1994, when the countries along the Danube signed the Danube Protection Convention. The purpose of the agreement was to improve the ecological condition of the river, ensure the quality of the waters and protect the aquatic ecosystems. On 29 June, we celebrate the anniversary of the agreement. Pictures and engravings of the Hungarian section of the Danube from the 1800s to the middle of the 20th century.
