Romanization of the Celtic Oppidum of Bibracte (Burgundy, France)
The material remains studied by archaeologists provide numerous markers of Romanization. The dishware reveals the evolution of dietary habits and dining manners, while graffiti on ceramics indicate the emergence of writing. The materials (stone, lime mortar, terracotta tiles), the plan, and the decoration of buildings signal a further stage of acculturation from the end of the Gallic Wars.
