Paul Vincent McMahon 1899 - 1976 pay clerk with the Ardnacrusha Hydroelectric scheme
My father Paul Vincent McMahon was born in the Thomondgate area of Limerick in May 1899.
In 1917, he joined the British Army in the Connaught Rangers Regiment and was posted to a battalion at Jullundur in the north-west of India where his work involved clerical duties.
In 1922, this regiment was disbanded and Vincent (as he was generally known) came back to Limerick and joined the National Army …
