My grandfather worked on the Ardnacrusha Scheme
My grandfather Tadhg Ryan (born in 1901) worked on the Ardnacrusha Electrification Scheme from its beginning. I am not sure what work he did but he was very skilled at many things and would have been involved in the construction work.
He lived near Cappamore at a place called Gurtalla Doone when at home but stayed with several others in a campus when at work.
