From father to son, the first name of Alexis was transmitted, in homage to Alexis Antoine Billot (1871-1915), gunner serving and/or stretcher bearer at the 52nd battery of the 2nd Field Artillery Regiment, mortally wounded, dead for France at Bois-le-Prêtre (Meurthe-et-Moselle) on July 4, 1915.
