Medieval enamelled dish from Brecon, Powys
The drawing shows a dish of Limoges enamel, with an animal head spout. The centre is raised, with a central medallion of a king holding a sceptre and a falcon, with a lady at his right and a greyhound at his left. The other decoration features courtly figures hawking, playing music, etc.

- Proceedings of the Society of Antiquaries of London 4 (1856-1859): 137-42. W L Banks had sent a drawing of the dish to the Society. A W Franks described all the examples of these paired bowls then known to him, and describes their use, quoting from contemporay wills, inventories, etc.
