The River Rur - Canoeing on the Jülich Plain

For aquatic adventure, it doesn't always have to be Niagara Falls - there are also boat tours on the Rur River, near Aachen. Michael Radermacher, a six-time national wildwater slalom champion, offers two-hour kayak and rubber dingy tours down the river. It's a great way to enjoy some beautiful scenery - if you don't mind getting a tiny bit wet!
