Volgograd is again Stalingrad for one day
Russia commemorated Saturday the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Stalingrad; one of the bloodiest and also most decisive chapters of World War II, in which Hitler’s German troops surrendered to Soviet soldiers. On the occasion of the celebration, the city, now called Volgograd, recovers for a day its previous name, which honours the dictator Ióssif Stalin, not without controversy.
