Ritratto di Goffredo Mameli ritratto dal vivo
Goffredo Mameli (1827-1849) is the author of the Italian National Anthem, whose words he wrote in 1847 and were set to music by Michele Novaro. Mameli was a protagonists of the Italian Risorgimento and of the Roman Republic enterprise (1849) in which he lost his life at age 22.
