Sampler, needlework
This is a sampler attached to a thin wooden panel, which has a newpaper advert attahced from 1851. It consists of cross stitch, wool embroidery in pink, green, cream, yellow, grey, orange, brown and fawn. The sampler was made by the dnor's wife's grandmother in Lancashire.
