Axe, slatting
This tool has a rectangular blade which has a sharp edge on one side and a spike protruding from the opposite side. There is also an inscription on the object 'BRADES 192'. This tool Belonged to F. H. W. Eke who was a builder in the Reading area. It was used for cutting slates and making holes for the nails.
