Das vorliegende Blatt ist ein Kupferstich von dem Londoner Kupferstecher Thomas Cook (1744-1818). Die Vorlage stammt von dem britischen Maler und Grafiker William Hogarth (1697-1764), einem bedeutenden Künstler des 18. Jahrhunderts, der sich sozialkritisch mit seiner Umwelt auseinander gesetzt hat. Die Vorlage für das vorliegende Blatt schuf er um 1740.
