Statue of Marie Under
This is a statue of Estonian poet Marie Under, located in Tallinn, Estonia.
Under was born in Tallinn in 1883. She lived there until September 1944. Then, as Russia / the USSR occupied Estonia, Under and her family fled to Sweden.
They spent almost a year in a refugee camp. In 1945, they moved to a suburb of Stockholm, Sweden, where Under lived until her death in 1980.
