My toy dog from the American Zone
This toy dog was given to me by my mother. It says on the base that it was made in US Zone Germany, so it must have been produced between 1945 and 1950.
I think my mother bought it in Viersen, a town near the German and Dutch border. I grew up in Mönchengladbach.
I remember playing with this toy when I was a girl, and thought it was interesting. I keep it now in a glass cabinet so it stays clean…
