In the area of Cham (Upper Palatinate) a bogy appears at the eve of Dec. 13th, the day of Saint Lucia, which is called "Luzia" or "Luzl". About the year 1930 this custom was still practised in the whole of north-east Bavaria especially by the farm workers.
