- First mentioned in the Leiden catalogue of 1640 (Heinsius 1640).
- Part 1 was possibly brought to the Monastery Le Bec (Normandy) by Henry Huntingdon in 1138. – Bound together with part 2 since at least ca. 1164, as such kept in the monastery Le Bec (Normandy). According to a note on f. 1v, later in possession in Staunton, England (15th century).
