- Bought at the auction of part of Hier. Commelin's library (Plurimorum Insignium Librorum Commelinianorum, p. 92) in 1606, at the request of Daniel Heinsius (who edited the text in 1607). First mentioned in the Leiden catalogue of 1623 (Heinsius 1623), p. 73, not in the catalogue of 1612.
- Note (f. 1*r): "Daniel Heinsius volumen hoc iussu curatorum Academiae cum Aristotele contulit, emendavit, distinxit, Graece edidit, et in Latinum sermonem transtulit; iisque inscripsit, Ac iterum in publica Academiae Bibliotheca reposuit, Anno MDCVII".
