Vršič – Russian Chapel
The Russian Chapel was built to commemorate the memory of Russian soldiers killed in an avalanche when constructing the road over the Vršič mountain pass. The chapel was built in 1916 in an Orthodox style expressing the faith of the soldiers who passed away at the location, where they are also buried.
