Wentke
‘Wentke’ is the Hindeloopen name for this type of long-waisted chintz coat that was worn on high days by the women of that village in the province of Friesland. Wentkes could also be worn as mourning dress. This coat with blue floral scrolls on a white ground also has silver highlights, giving it a remarkably festive touch.
