Manuscript 615, dating from the second half of the seventh century, contains a fragment of a Merovingian charter. It is the oldest written document preserved in Bruges. The document was found inside a thirteenth century codex from Ten Duinen Abbey in 1852. The fragment had been used to fortify the binding of the codex.
