Guanyin
Guanyin is a bodhisattva, a Buddhist deity who has achieved enlightenment but chooses to remain on Earth to help people. There are many blanc de Chine figures of Guanyin, since the deity was widely venerated in Fujian, the production centre for this white porcelain.
