Buddha
The Buddha’s body and head are enclosed by a pointed halo of flames, characteristic of sculpture from Kashmir in this period. The monk’s robe clings tightly to the Buddha’s slender body, clearly revealing his form. His right hand is making the ‘fear not’ gesture (abhaya mudra).
