Kotlyarevskiy Ivan Petrovich (1769-1838) - Ukrainian writer and educator, the first classic of the new Ukrainian literature. His literary activity began at 1794 processing in the burlesque style of "The Aeneid" by Virgil. In 1798, in St. Petersburg, were published the first 3 parts of the poem.
