Memorial Day at Margraten 1947

At the American War Graves Cemetery in Margraten, a memorial service will be held in connection with Memorial Day, the day on which the American people commemorate the dead from the Second World War. The American ambassador, Dr. H. Baruch, lays a wreath. A Dutch firing squad fires salutes above the graves. A trumpeter blows "The Last Post". Lots of public interest; lots of military.
