Sarong

Patched sarong with motifs of birds and flowers, including chrysanthemums and lotus flowers. The long triangles (the 'kepala' = head of the cloth) represent stylized bamboo shoots and are inscribed with Chinese flower vases with flowers, birds and butterflies in between. In the diagonal borders various animals are depicted, including elephants, tigers, lions and water buffalos.
