Through tears to happiness

Doctor and founder of a provincial orphanage Jan Mankiewicz accidentally meets actress Lena Merwinska, with whom he falls in love with each other. Lena persuades him to continue his career in Warsaw. Jan may become the chief doctor of a large children's hospital. However, he resigns from this position and returns to the orphanage. Lena joins her beloved.
