Medieval wood and ivory crosier heads
The drawing show two crosier heads, which were in the collection of George Allan of Darlington in 1798. One is of ivory and has a carving of the Agnus Dei in the crook, it may be twelfth-century. The other is of wood, formerly gilt, with, on either side, an enthroned seated figure (saint or apostle, perhaps) in a niche.
